Resources for Sex Information
The following are great resources for Parents, Future Parents Young Adults and everyone else.
I was a member of San Francisco Sex Information (SFSI) for 20 years, (1973 to 1993). Eighteen of those years I was a member of their Training Staff. I recommend their training to everyone, and especially people studying to be Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and people who want to have children.
Many therapists have never delt with their own sexuality and will not be able to deal with the wide variety of sexual belief, behaviors and lifestyles that are in our culture. If a client senses their therapist might not be comfortable with what they do sexually they may not discuss very important issues relating to sex. This could mean the client will never get the help they require and unessarily stay confused.
Parents would be wise to take the training so they can learn how to answer their childrens questions. Kids will continue to ask questions if their parents are open and honest. At SFSI they will learn how much information is appropriate for every age. I found this to be invaluable.

Siecus.org (Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States) is another fantastic resource of everyone interested in accurate sex information. Again great for all Counselors, Parents and the general public. Just go to their website!
